North Cumberland Trail Access Less Than Half a Mile Away

North Cumberland WMA
Our property adjoins the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area, which encompasses the Royal Blue WMA and Sundqust WMA. At 140,000, this is one of the largest areas of public property in Tennessee. The speed limit with the WMA is 25 mph. You can access the trials lawfully by riding on Highway 25W just a half mile to access the trailhead.
The nearest North Cumberland trailhead is less than half a mile from Walden Woods. Guests may legally operate their machines along Highway 25W between the property and the trailhead, eliminating the need to reload their side-by-sides or ATVs for the short trip to the trail system.
Riders are responsible for complying with all roadway requirements, TWRA regulations, permit requirements, and applicable safety rules.

Before hitting the trails, make sure you have the proper permits. You only need one permit per ATV or UTV, and you can easily purchase them online at Go Outdoors Tennessee.

Children under 12 and passengers don't need permits, so it's perfect for family adventures!
While operating ATVs on Walden Woods properties, the speed limit is 10 mph. Do not operate ATVs except on graveled and paved surfaces.
ATV Access Info and Trail Info
In Campbell County and LaFollette, many local roads are ATV-approved giving you even more space to explore. You can legally ride fro 30 minutes before dawn until 30 minutes after dusk. Always make sure you comply with local laws. Riders must wear helmets and carry proof of insurance. The road right outside our property, Hwy 25W, is ATV-friendly and leads you straight to your ATV adventure. Herea re some maps to assist you in your stay:
